File this under "Much ado about nothing." FCC Commissioner MICHAEL COPPS, in MILWAUKEE for a DTV open forum, also talked about what he considers to be a false brouhaha over The Fairness Doctrine on SAGA Classic Hits WKLH/MILWAUKEE's "DAVE and CAROLE" morning show.

COPPS dismissed Republican and conservative critics' dire warnings of its return, which ostensibly force broadcasters to offer equal amounts of air time to opposing views, as a "bogeyman" -- basically a scare tactic to keep their supporters motivated. You can hear the entire interview here.
