The campaign to get President BUSH to issue pardons for BORDER PATROL agents IGNACIO RAMOS and JOSE ALONSO COMPEAN has added backing from BORDER MEDIA PARTNERS Talk KURV-A/MCALLEN-BROWNSVILLE, TX, which is asking listeners to sign a petition calling for the pardon. RAMOS and COMPEAN were convicted and put in jail and solitary confinement for allegedly shooting an illegal immigrant drug dealer who was given immunity to testify against them in a case that outraged opponents of illegal immigration.
The station has set up petitions online and at various locations in the market for listeners to sign.
