STAR BROADCASTING Sports-Talk WTKE (98.1 THE TICKET)/PENSACOLA host SCOTT MCKINNEY faces at least a year in prison after pleading guilty to theft and fraud charges FRIDAY (1/2).
MCKINNEY, who hosts the regionally syndicated "SOUTHERN SPORTS TONIGHT" show as well as co-hosting a local morning show for WTKE, will be sentenced on FEBRUARY 24 on the charges, which include money laundering and racketeering and arose from his activities attracting investors to the syndicated show. The plea bargain will not allow MCKINNEY, who allegedly sold shares totaling more than 100% of the show to investors, to work through any work release program while serving his sentence.
