Chopper Crash Can't Stop Cavenaugh; Budget Cuts, However...

If it was't hard enough to survive a chopper crash, longtime SOUTH FLORIDA traffic reporter PAUL CAVENAUGH found himself out of a job and off the local airwaves JANUARY 1st for the first time in 25 years.
CAVENAUGH's contract to provide traffic reports for JAMES CRYSTAL RADIO Talk WFTL-A/WEST PALM BEACH-FORT LAUDERDALE and CBS affiliate WPEC-TV (CBS 12)/WEST PALM BEACH were not renewed by the stations due to budget considerations, his departure coming after he survived a NOVEMBER 11th crash of the SKY 12 helicopter. CAVENAUGH suffered acute lower back injuries but doctors say he'll be well enough to resume broadcasting in six weeks.
Meanwhile, he's looking for a new local home, so any SOUTH FLORIDA stations needing a personality can reach PAUL at email@example.com.
