NASCAR and Country music fans alike were able to bid on some exclusive items and raise money for a good cause at the 4th Annual SPRINT SOUND & SPEED FESTIVAL.
The event was held FRIDAY (1/9) and SATURDAY (1/10) at NASHVILLE's MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM and featured performances/appearances by MONTGOMERY GENTRY, RODNEY ATKINS, JULIANNE HOUGH, DIERKS BENTLEY, DALE EARNHARDT JR., MICHAEL WALTRIP and KYLE PETTY, among many others.
Some of the items in the auction included a dream race weekend package at the AARON'S 499 race at TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY in APRIL, a guitar autographed by BIG & RICH, a TENNESSEE TITANS hard hat autographed by KYLE VANDENBOSCH and a NASCAR helmet autographed by JIMMIE JOHNSON.
All of the money raised benefits the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM and VICTORY JUNCTION, a "year-round camping environment for children, ages 6-16, with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses."
A total amount raised this year has not yet been determined, but the first three SPRINT SOUND & SPEED events raised more than $800,000 for both organizations. For more info, click here.
