Dallas Stars Moving To The Ticket

DALLAS STARS hockey is moving from CITADEL Talk WBAP-A/DALLAS to crosstown CUMULUS Sports KTCK-A-F-KTDK-A (THE TICKET) next season under a new five-year deal. The STARS have been with WBAP for the last 15 years, since their move from MINNESOTA in 1993. Broadcasters RALPH STRANGIS and DARYL REAUGH will continue to call the action.
"This is a logical next step to the strong promotional partnership we've enjoyed with the STARS over the years," said CUMULUS VP and Market Manager DAN BENNETT. "We felt the time was right to take it to the next level and become the play-by-play voice of the team."
"I want to thank WBAP for 15 years as a great radio partner," said STARS President JEFF COGEN. "As WBAP has evolved into an all-news format, the STARS have also evolved. We both decided it was time for a change. Our first choice for a new radio home was THE TICKET. The STARS and THE TICKET have practically grown up together, as both of us are celebrating our 15-year anniversary in the METROPLEX. THE TICKET was the first all-sports radio station in the area and they're the best. We're proud to align our brand with theirs."
