Northeast Indiana Public Radio Seeks To Sell Three Stations
January 23, 2009 at 5:30 AM (PT)
The board of NORTHEAST INDIANA PUBLIC RADIO has voted to pursue a sale of its three Classical stations, WBNI/ROANOKE-FORT WAYNE, WCKZ/ORLAND-ANGOLA, IN, and translator W240BF/FORT WAYNE (rebroadcasting WCKZ). The organization says that it faces increased debt payments and needs to devote financial resources to other parts of the operation.
Classical programming will continue until the sale, and will also air on an HD subchannel of sister noncommercial WBOI/FORT WAYNE.
