Fans of former PRESS COMMUNICATIONS Alternative WHTG-WBBO (G-ROCK 106.3/106.5)/MONMOUTH-OCEAN, which flipped to Top 40 last FRIDAY (NET NEWS 1/19) have formed a group called "Bring Back G-Rock," according to the ASBURY PARK PRESS.
The group is planning a protest outside of the station's studios tomorrow (1/24), which has drawn a response from PRESS CEO ROBERT MCALLEN, which is posted on the G-ROCK website. MCALLEN's message, addressed to "Bring Back G-Rock" organizer ELYSE JANKOWSKI, thanks the listeners for their passion, explains the reason for the format change, and advises JANKOWSKI to contact the local police department to "go over your plans and ensure the safety of all involved."
JANKOWSKI claims that over 400 people have RSVP'd for the protest. Read the ASBURY PARK PRESS article here.
