Hacksaw Gets XM Home Plate Weekends, Wins Award

Veteran sportscaster LEE "HACKSAW" HAMILTON has picked up both work and an award lately, with the work coming at SIRIUS XM RADIO's XM HOME PLATE baseball talk channel. HAMILTON is handling 3-7p anchor duties for SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS on the all-baseball station.
The award is the IRV KAZE TALK SHOW AWARD from the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SPORTS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION, which was presented to HACKSAW on MONDAY (1/26). The organization also inducted LOS ANGELES KINGS radio voice NICK NICKSON into its Hall of Fame. Other winners included LOS ANGELES ANGELS baseball and USC basketball play-by-play voice RORY MARKAS, LOS ANGELES DODGERS radio color commentator JERRY REUSS, LOS ANGELES KINGS TV voice BOB MILLER and TV pre- and post-game host JIM FOX, DODGERS Spanish-language play-by-play caller JAIME JARRIN, CBS News KFWB-A/LOS ANGELES for its radio anchor staff, and CBS O&O KCBS-TV (CBS 2)/LOS ANGELES for TV sports anchors.
