EMMIS AAA WRXP (101.9 RXP)/NEW YORK MD/afternooner BRYAN SCHOCK has resigned to relocate back to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA for personal reasons. SCHOCK was the first air personality to hit the 'RXP airwaves approximately one year ago. His last day at the "THE NEW YORK ROCK EXPERIENCE" will be FEBRUARY 6th. Reach out to him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SCHOCK said, "This is one of the hardest decisions that I’ve ever had to make but I’ve learned over the years that family comes first." He goes on to say "having the opportunity to be a major part of the development of a brand new Rock radio station in the biggest market in America has been an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS has been a wonderful company to work for. I want to thank DAN HALYBURTON, RICK CUMMINGS, JIMMY STEAL, and PARAGON MEDIA STRATEGIES’ MIKE HENRY for believing that I was the guy to help get ‘RXP off the ground. I also want to thank LESLIE FRAM, as well as the rest of the on-air and programming team at ‘RXP for being such an amazing group of people to work alongside."
"It's with a heavy heart that we have to say good-bye to the person who almost single-handedly launched the radio station," added PD LESLIE FRAM. "He was the only on-air talent for the first six months! I want to personally thank him for helping lay the foundation of 101.9 RXP and welcoming me with open arms and a NEW YORK subway map! A great programmer always finds another home."
