Fans Concerned About Possible Miami Flip

The widely rumored flip of CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WINZ-A/MIAMI from liberal talk to Sports has triggered an e-mail campaign to try and stop the change, reports WORLD NEWS DAILY. The website says that an individual identifying himself as a former engineer for the station is urging people to contact PD KEN CHARLES to complain about the flip from a "progressive honest talk format to right-wing greedy bastards format" but warns that "(i)t could not hurt to not mention that you are not in MIAMI."
CLEAR CHANNEL has not announced a format change, but market talk has the station adding FOX SPORTS RADIO and possibly picking up DAN SILEO's regionally-syndicated morning show next month.
FOX SPORTS RADIO presently airs in part of the market on JAMES CRYSTAL RADIO Sports WMEN-A (FOX SPORTS 640 AM WFTL)/ROYAL PALM BEACH, which the MIAMI HERALD's BARRY JACKSON has reported has been notified that the affiliation will be moving to another local station.
