Kidd Kraddick Volunteers To Push 'My Turn Day'
February 6, 2009 at 10:46 AM (PT)
Syndicated morning host KIDD KRADDICK is heading up a move to encourage volunteerism through the recognition of "My Turn Day." He is asking everyone to come up with a way to give time to others, and then make an announcement to the world on how you plan to make a difference in someone's life.
On TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10th, KRADDICK encourages everyone to publicly announce their plan by posting their efforts on social networks such as FACEBOOK and MYSPACE, as well as via text message, e-mail, etc., to everyone they know. "Challenge others to stop talking and start doing," KRADDICK declared.
"I want to start a wildfire of people giving up their time to help others," he continued, "Just like STARBUCKS did a few weeks ago by giving coffee away to anyone who would commit to an hour a week of volunteering. To me, the reason for doing My Turn Day is that volunteering is only the first half of what we can do. The second half is letting everyone in the world know you're doing it. Not so you can brag that you care more about others, but so others will take your lead."
