Grammy Show Increases By 3 Million Viewers

CBS TELEVISION had a big night on SUNDAY (2/07) as more than 20 million viewers tuned in for The 51st Annual GRAMMY AWARDS, a show that was no doubt all about the music. Although only 10 trophies were handed out on SUNDAY night, there were more than 20 musical performances -- everything from the MILEY & TAYLOR to a tribute to the FOUR TOPS.
In comparison, this past year's EMMY AWARDS handed out 25 awards -- which means there were 15 extra speeches.
This year's 'GRAMMY-CAST,' drew THREE million more viewers than last year's GRAMMYs and had a 23% boost in the coveted 18-34 category (quite amazing considering the lead-in was "60 Minutes"). All in all, that gave CBS the win for the night with an 11.3 rating/18 share.
