PRAIRIE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS Adult Standards KCLN-A/CLINTON, IA will air CLINTON LUMBERKINGS minor league baseball this season. LUMBERKINGS Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations DAVE LEZOTTE, who handled road broadcasts for the last three seasons, will call all 140 regular season games in 2009. The deal also includes cross-promotion with sister Adult Hits KMCN (MAC 94.7). The team, which changes its affiliation from the TEXAS RANGERS to the SEATTLE MARINERS this season, aired on crosstown KROS BROADCASTING Oldies-Talk-Sports KROS-A last year.
"We're extremely excited to be back on the air at KCLN. With them we have a strong partnership that allows us to expand our advertising market while maintaining a great standard of broadcasting for our fans," said the team's Assistant GM NATE KREINBRINK. "We're also pleased to have DAVE back in the fold as our announcer for a fourth year."
PRAIRIE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS President and CEO DON DAVIS said, "KCLN and the LUMBERKINGS are both local treasures for CLINTON and the surrounding region, and PRAIRIE is thrilled that KCLN and the ballclub are back together again. We look forward to a successful relationship with the club for many years to come."
"It's exciting to rekindle the relationship with the LUMBERKINGS as they begin their relationship with the MARINERS," said KCLN GM CHRIS STREETS. "Who knows, we could see the next ALEX RODRIGUEZ or KEN GRIFFEY JR. right here at ALLIANT ENERGY FIELD!"
