The FCC is proposing a fine of $7,500 against LANCASTER EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION for underwriting advertisement violations at noncommercial WFCO/LANCASTER, OH. The disputed announcements include twenty spots for WESBANCO aired in SEPTEMBER through DECEMBER, 2006.
The Commission also dismissed PLUS CHARITIES' challenge to the grant of a new noncommercial FM in COGGON, IA to NEW BOHEMIA GROUP, INC. PLUS contended that NEW BOHEMIA's application should have been denied because of various technical and timing issues, including that NEW BOHEMIA's incorporation had been dissolved by the IOWA Secretary of State at the time of certification of the technical section of the application.
