CBS Talk KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH and DOLLAR ENERGY FUND raised $250,000 in last week's "Warmathon" for funds to maintain or restore service to needy PITTSBURGH residents who lost power during the winter. The 30-hour broadcast aired WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY (2/12-13) live from the PPG WINTERGARDEN.
"The PITTSBURGH community is always incredibly generous," said DOLLAR ENERGY FUND CEO CINDY DATIG. "For 25 years, DOLLAR ENERGY FUND has worked from the premise of neighbors helping neighbors. Because of the generosity of our neighbors during the Warmathon, DOLLAR ENERGY FUND will be able to provide more assistance to make sure no families have to face a Pittsburgh winter without utility service."
