WLTE Announces 'Sixty-Second Job Shop'
February 17, 2009 at 4:07 PM (PT)
CBS RADIO AC WLTE (LITE 102.9)/MINNEAPOLIS morning show with KEVIN MURPHY & CHERYL KAYE are providing listeners who have found themselves recently left unemployed the opportunity to find employment through their "SIXTY-SECOND JOB SHOP."
THE LITE-FM MORNING SHOW will feature a new applicant each weekday morning at 7:40a. The selected applicant will receive 60 seconds to reach out to potential employers letting them know why they would be a perfect candidate to fill their open position.
KEVIN MURPHY commented, "Connecting members of the local community is what radio does best. We loved the idea of using the LITE FM morning show as a platform to introduce employers to job seekers. Hopefully the SIXTY-SECOND JOB SHOP will benefit both."
CHERYL KAYE added, "I spent over a year out of work. It was such a hard time. I came to realize who my true friends are. But I was also disheartened by others who made idle promises, refused to return phone calls, and treated me as if being unemployed was a contagious disease! I don't want to be that type of person. As someone who knows how it feels, I wanted to do something to really help those that are unemployed. That's what KEVIN & CHERYL'S SIXTY-SECOND JOB SHOP is all about."
Employers will be able to visit www.1029litefm.com to view the applicant’s resume and contact them for an interview.
