EMI MUSIC’s Label Services unit is bringing metal to the masses with an extensive "March is Metal" campaign with independent retailers across the US. The retail campaign will include promotions from such legendary labels as CENTURY MEDIA, NUCLEAR BLAST, EARACHE and CANDLELIGHT along with SEASON OF MIST, WILLOW TIP and CRASH MUSIC.
"The Metal genre continues to surge in popularity with an ever-widening consumer-base. By partnering with indie retailers, EMI/CAROLINE DISTRIBUTION's 'MARCH is Metal Month' is aimed at the core metal fan, but at the same time will expose some great labels and exciting artists to a larger audience," said EMI LABEL SERVICES & CAROLINE DISTRIBUTION SVP/GM DOMINIC PANDISCIA. "We’ll give more fans the chance to sample and discover some very high-caliber artists, new releases and legendary catalog titles. The feedback has been great and we hope to make this an annual event."
