Patchen Exits Arbitron Amongst More Moves; Gap Signs Deal

Following up on last week's shuffling of duties at ARBITRON (NET NEWS 2/25), ARBITRON Pres,/CEO MICHAEL SKARZYNSKI makes three more moves, giving EVP/Chief Legal Officer TIM SMITH acting EVP/Strategy And Business Development duties.
Dir./PPM Research BETH WEBB adds acting VP/Research duties and SVP/Press And Investor Relations THOM MOCARSKY will also juggle acting EVP/Chief Marketing Officer responsibilities.
Exiting the company is SVP/Chief Research Officer BOB PATCHEN, who will pursue other opportunities.
Gap Broadcasting Signs A Multi-Year Deal
ARBITRON has signed multi-year agreements with GAP BROADCASTING and GAP BROADCASTING II (GAP WEST) for diary-based radio ratings services in 17 markets. The agreement includes software services for all stations in the 17 markets and Arbitrends monthly rolling-average reports in SHREVEPORT, a market that ARBITRON measures year-round.

I am counting on ARBITRON's training team to help my sales staff generate new revenues from local direct advertisers in all my rated markets," said GAP Pres. GEORGE LAUGHLIN.
Station Info Forms Due Today
ARBITRON reminders radio that all completed SPRING 2009 Station Information Profiles are due back to ARBITRON TODAY (3/2) from radio stations that appear within the markets that ARBITRON will measure in the SPRING 2009 Survey.
Stations must confirm or correct the information on the preprinted forms for the SPRING 2009 Survey. Stations that are 100% simulcast (including commercials and PSAs) may also request Total Line Reporting by returning the completed Station Information Form.
