Former MYRTLE BEACH PELICANS Dir./Broadcasting & Communications JON LAASER joins another minor league baseball franchise, the SOUTHERN LEAGUE's MONTGOMERY BISCUITS, as radio play-by-play voice, replacing JIM TOCCO. LAASER, who previously called the ALTOONA CURVE, YAKIMA BEARS and ST. PAUL SAINTS minor league games and ST. CLOUD RIVER BATS collegiate wood-bat NORTHWOODS LEAGUE games, will be heard on CUMULUS Sports WLWI-A (NEWS RADIO 1440)/MONTGOMERY.
"In the interest of continuing to provide our great fans with top-notch broadcasts of our games, we conducted an exhaustive search for the BISCUITS new voice," said BISCUITS Pres./GM GREG RAUCH. "We received interest from countless talented candidates and are extremely excited that we found a perfect fit with JON."
LAASER said, "I am thrilled to join the BISCUITS and become part of the MONTGOMERY community. I have always admired the BISCUITS organization and the work that JIM (TOCCO) has done to establish an outstanding connection between the BISCUITS and their great fans. The opportunity to continue the fine broadcasting tradition in MONTGOMERY is one I am greatly looking forward to."
