AT&T has signaled its intention to continue support of the AMERICAN WOMEN IN RADIO & TELEVISION by sponsoring the 2009 AWRT Congressional Directory, which will be unveiled at the AWRT WOMEN’S MEDIA FORUM in WASHINGTON, D.C., MARCH 6th-7th, 2009.
The 2009 AWRT Congressional Directory incorporates both the AT&T-sponsored AWRT Advocacy Handbook as well as contact info on the 111th Congress of the U.S. The directory details a number of practical strategies for calling, visiting and writing elected officials and give tips for participating in a public forum, hosting an elected official, or testifying before a public body.
"We are privileged to continue our partnership with AT&T," AWRT Pres. MARIA EFANTIS BRENNAN said. "AWRT members are committed to influencing local, state and federal policy and thanks to AT&T the Congressional Directory provides a critical component in the next step of facilitating their active engagement in the public policy process."
