Social media developers GAMECENTRIC MEDIA and media company NJS4EVER NETWORKS have entered into a joint venture to launch 4EVERCENTRIC MEDIA, the world’s first social media application suite for radio broadcasters. The new entity is in the process of staffing up.
GAMECENTRIC MEDIA CEO PAUL LIMON will serve as 4EVERCENTRIC MEDIA CEO; NJS4EVER NETWORKS CEO ANDREW KNYTE will serve as COO; NJS4EVER EVP/Programming STEVEN MILLS will become EVP/Radio & Digital Media, and GAMECENTRIC MEDIA's CHAD THOMAS BENSON will be appointed SVP/Affiliate Relations.
This joint venture will produce PANTHEON, a social radio network that merges traditional radio properties with customize-able and extensive social networking applications to foster engaging, interactive and user-friendly brand experiences between radio listeners and their favorite stations. PANTHEON is scheduled to launch in SPRING 2009, beginning with two NJS4EVER radio properties currently reaching thousands of listeners online.
"It’s no secret that the Internet -- in particular social media -- has revolutionized the way consumers choose to consume media," 4EVERCENTRIC MEDIA COO ANDREW KNYTE said. "While it is true that more traditional forms of media such as print and traditional radio have seen a decline in audiences as a result, that’s not necessarily a bad thing as long as the brands that succeeded with traditional media in the past are able to embrace new media more effectively. We're here to jumpstart that process for traditional, network, and even online radio."
"It’s important to focus marketing efforts on where the users are going; we can now fully integrate media into a consumer’s natural behavior pattern, which may include checking on their MYSPACE or FACEBOOK pages multiple times a day," GAMECENTRIC MEDIA's PAUL LIMON said.
