ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK midday host MAX KELLERMAN has left the station in what the station said was a mutual agreement. KELLERMAN's last show was MONDAY (3/9); evening host BRANDON TIERNEY will fill the midday slot until a new host is named.
President and GM TIM MCCARTHY said, "MAX is a highly articulate and passionate sports talk host and he brought a unique voice to our talent lineup. We wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors."
KELLERMAN said, "I had some great times at 1050. I appreciate everything TIM MCCARTHY, AARON SPIELBERG, and everyone there have done for me over the years."
The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS' BOB RAISSMAN is kicking off speculation that KELLERMAN, also a boxing analyst for HBO and a former ESPN TV and FOX SPORTS NET personality, may join crosstown CBS RADIO Sports WFAN-A as afternoon host MIKE FRANCESA's co-host, filling the vacancy left when CHRIS "MAD DOG" RUSSO exited to join SIRIUS XM RADIO.
