Springer Fills In At WGN

This week's fill-in for the vacant 1-4p CT slot at TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO is JERRY SPRINGER, who tells the CHICAGO TRIBUNE's PHIL ROSENTHAL that while "it's fun to fill in," he is not looking to take the WGN slot full-time.
The former AIR AMERICA RADIO host said that PD KEVIN METHENY is a friend and, "If he needs someone, I'm right around the corner. So he just said, 'Why don't you fill in for a couple days?' It's nothing more than that. To be honest, one day I would consider doing something like that, but that's when everything else is done. Radio has to be your only job. You can't do it part-time." SPRINGER's TV show is being moved by producer NBC UNIVERSAL from CHICAGO to STAMFORD, CT, and SPRINGER is battling the company on behalf of his CHICAGO staff, who he wants to be offered the chance to relocate.
