FCC Commissioner JONATHAN ADELSTEIN's Senior Legal Advisor SCOTT BERGMANN is exiting the Commission to join CTIA -- THE WIRELESS ASSOCIATION as Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Affairs.
ADELSTEIN said, "I am fortunate to have benefited from SCOTT's considerable expertise, superb judgment, integrity and keen intellect for the past five years. Through some of the most complex and challenging proceedings before the Commission, I’ve relied on his deep understanding of the issues, his extraordinary knowledge of telecommunications law, his skill at working with a broad array of stakeholders to shape policy. I will miss his counsel greatly, but look forward to witnessing his continued contributions in the field of telecommunications."
"We are very pleased to announce the addition of SCOTT to our team," said CTIA President and CEO (and former Congressman and SEATTLE SEAHAWKS wide receiver) STEVE LARGENT. "He brings a wealth of knowledge in numerous key policy areas including universal service, broadband, rural telecommunications, and intercarrier compensation. With his personality and level of expertise and experience, there's no doubt SCOTT will be a valuable resource to CTIA and the industry as a whole in advocating on behalf of wireless."
