Ciro 'Mario' Marino Dead At 76

CIRO "MARIO" MARINO, an Italian American restaurateur who opened his first restaurant in LOS ANGELES in 1957 and held court at MARINO RISTORANTE on MELROSE AVENUE for more than two decades, died WEDNESDAY of lung cancer. He was 76.
MARTONI's was a famous radio and music industry hang in the 60, 70s and early 80s, particularly with the KHJ staff in the 60s and 70s and the record promoters. BILL DRAKE, PAUL DREW, GERRY CAGLE and the KHJ airstaff -- DON STEELE, ROBERT W. MORGAN all frequented the place.
