KMVN's Rick Dees Ready For The Future

When EMMIS announced on FRIDAY (NET NEWS 4/3) it was doing an LMA deal with GRUPO RADIO CENTRO for Adult Hits KMVN (MOVIN 93.9)/LOS ANGELES, it spelled the end of a current three-year morning show run for market legend RICK DEES, whose previous market stops over 23+ years include KIIS-FM and KHJ-A.
DEES returned a call from ALL ACCESS, saying: "A pretty good business move on EMMIS' part. They cut a pretty good deal with GRUPO RADIO CENTRO out of MEXICO CITY. I certainly applaud them for that. I am still in business with them and look forward to getting more content to them and seeing what we can pull off together in the future. I am not going to be on the air with 93.9, as I am little rusty on my Spanish, but they are a great group of people and I certainly know it's going to be awesome."
Always, open and approachable, DEES told ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER's GARY LYCAN, "My three-year contract runs until SEPTEMBER, and EMMIS is honoring it. Radio is just one way to get content today. A week from MONDAY (4/13), we are launching a 24-hour radio channel at www.allnumber1hits.com. It is young-centric Top 40 radio. It will be launched first over www.rick.com and then it will be available to terrestrial radio, broadband and so forth."
