Mark Adams Assumes PD Duties At KHMX

When CBS RADIO assumed ownership (4/1) of HOUSTON stations KHMX (MIX 96.5 FM) and KLOL (MEGA 101.1 FM) from CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS, which was required by the FCC to relinquish ownership, a few personel changes became official.
THE HOUSTON CHRONICLE reports GM BRIAN PURDY said both stations will continue with their current Hot AC and Spanish-language Latino-pop formats. but Top 40 KKHH (HOT 95.7) PD MARK ADAMS will take on similar duties for MIX from KEITH SCOTT, who will remain as a host on the station’s morning drive-time show.
Also this week, PURDY said TOM FONTAINE, who had worked nights for 19 years at Country KILT, is no longer with the station.
