EMBEE BROADCASTING Talk KXAM-A (INDEPENDENT 1310)/PHOENIX is going silent TODAY and will turn its license back to the FCC. The station's website features a "Good Bye To KXAM" message noting that midday show "CULINARY CONFESSIONS WITH KIM AND DON" and afternoon sports show "THE BANDWAGON" will move to crosstown SANDUSKY Oldies KAZG-A/SCOTTSDALE.

 "CULINARY CONFESSIONS" host KIM LAURIE told the ARIZONA REPUBLIC that employees had made an effort to buy the station from the GERSON family but were rebuffed.
