WSIX Gathers $4,300 In Donations For Tornado Victims

CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX (THE BIG 98)/NASHVILLE is doing its part to help victims of the tornado that hit MURFREESBORO, TN on FRIDAY (4/10). The EF-4 tornado (with winds measuring between 166-200 mph) claimed two lives and caused at least $34.7 million in damages.
The station broadcast live from the NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY on SATURDAY (4/11), where they collected monetary donations from fans attending the NATIONWIDE 300 NASCAR race that day. On SUNDAY (4/12) THE BIG 98 made their rounds at the NASHVILLE SOUNDS Triple-A baseball game, where fans also contributed money, and on MONDAY (4/13) afternoon personalities BIG D & BUBBA gathered donations at the MURFREESBORO WAL-MART.
