HALIFAX CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY CHURCH, INC. has agreed to turn in the license for its low-power Oldies WFBO-LP/FLAGLER BEACH, FL under a consent decree that settles a previous fine for exceeding power limits and operating an unauthorized repeater. The station, licensed for 36 watts at 93.3 FM, was operating with 106 watts instead and also operating a repeater on 92.7 FM without a license. The station later moved to 97.7 FM with 31 watts.
The Commission also fined DEWEY D. LANKFORD, former licensee of WANA-A/ANNISTON, AL, $7,000 for a late license renewal application and unauthorized operation of the station. LANKFORD failed to file a renewal application as required on DECEMBER 1st, 2003, leading to the station's license expiring on APRIL 1st, 2004. LANKFORD told the Commission that he had filed a timely application electronically and that the station's listing as "valid" in the CDBS system led him to believe that the Commission had accepted the application.
