MILLENIUM Talk WKXW (NEW JERSEY 101.5)/TRENTON has added political strategist, writer, and controversial state political figure CARLA KATZ as a part of the afternoon "JERSEY GUYS" show in the 6p ET hour weekdays, starting MONDAY (5/4).
KATZ, Gov. JON CORZINE's former girlfriend, hit the headlines after disclosures that CORZINE had given her millions of dollars in gifts after their relationship broke up raised allegations of impropriety. KATZ was, at the time, the head of COMMUNICATIONS WORKERS OF AMERICA local 1034, from which she was ousted in JULY 2008 by the union's national board amidst allegations of improper financial dealings. More recently, KATZ obtained a law degree and has been writing for the NEWARK STAR-LEDGER's NJVOICES.COM and for POLITICKERNJ.COM.
"We’re very excited that CARLA is joining the NEW JERSEY 101.5 team," said PD ERIC JOHNSON. "She’s smart, she’s candid, has strong opinions, she’s funny and there is no doubt she’ll stir up some controversy on our station."
"CARLA is an outspoken advocate for working people and an extremely compelling voice in NEW JERSEY's public arena. Now, CARLA will bring her voice to a wider audience -- the listeners of NEW JERSEY 101.5 and BEST of all, She’s a JERSEY Girl," added MILLENIUM RADIO Group Marketing Director RAY HANDEL.
