A report from CUBANET says that listeners in the MARIEL area of HAVANA claim that the Cuban government has stepped up its jamming of RADIO MARTI, the U.S. government station aimed at CUBA. The jamming, which has been running 24 hours a day, lets up only during major league baseball broadcasts.
Listeners have reported little or no interference through the end of last year, when the jamming picked up again.
