DIAL GLOBAL has added TIM MARANVILLE as Sr. Dir./Programming. MARANVILLE may be best known as former VP/Programming for CBS’s National Oldies formats. There he orchestrated the turnaround for KFRC/SAN FRANCISCO and led KOOL/PHOENIX. Most recently, MARANVILLE was VP/Dir. Operations at the DENVER RADIO COMPANY where he conceived, launched and managed three original formats. MARANVILLE will be based in DIAL GLOBAL’s SEATTLE office (starting MAY 18th) and report to EVP/Programming BEAU PHILLIPS.
MARANVILLE replaces the void left by STEVE YOUNG, DIAL GLOBAL’s previous programming chief in SEATTLE, who passed away last DECEMBER. Said MARANVILLE: "I am excited to join DIAL GLOBAL. I didn't know STEVE YOUNG until I visited the building. He left his mark on the hearts and minds of everyone and I am honored to be chosen as his successor in SEATTLE. I look forward to helping BEAU PHILLIPS realize his vision for DIAL GLOBAL as the radio industry's total solutions provider."
DIAL GLOBAL also announced the promotion of KRISTOPHER JONES to Dir./Programming, also in its SEATTLE office. JONES has led the company’s music scheduling operations for the last 13 years through JONES RADIO NETWORKS and now DIAL GLOBAL.
JONES commented,"I’m fortunate to have worked with some of the best professionals in radio at DIAL GLOBAL including STEVE YOUNG, BEAU PHILLIPS and now TIM MARANVILLE, but none better than the team I work with every day."
