'Celebrity Priest' Loses Radio Show In Scandal

Nationally-known Catholic priest, Spanish-language media figure and RADIO PEACE Spanish Religion WACC-A (RADIO PAZ)/MIAMI personality Rev. ALBERTO CUTIE has been removed from his church and taken off the air after photographs of him with a woman on the beach appeared in TV NOTAS magazine. CUTIE was removed from WACC by the Archdiocese on TUESDAY, saying that the pictures showed that CUTIE had violated his vow of celibacy.

About 60 supporters of CUTIE held a rally THURSDAY in front of his church, ST. FRANCIS DE SALES, to protest his removal, while Spanish Independent WJAN-CA (AMERICA TeVe)/MIAMI identified the woman as RUHAMA CANELLIS, a divorced woman with at least one child.
