RUSH LIMBAUGH got praised by DICK CHENEY and ripped by WANDA SYKES this weekend, as the PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS host continued to make headlines through other people's comments.
Comedian SYKES drew laughs, gasps, and controversy at the WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER with remarks in front of an audience that included President OBAMA that charged LIMBAUGH with "treason" for criticizing OBAMA, adding, "(LIMBAUGH)'s not saying anything differently than OSAMA BIN LADEN is saying. You know you might want to look into this, sir, because I think RUSH LIMBAUGH was the 20th hijacker, but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight. Too much? You’re laughing inside, I know you’re laughing. RUSH LIMBAUGH -- 'I hope the country fails.' I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a waterboarding, that’s what he needs."
I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight.
On SUNDAY, former Vice President CHENEY, discussing the REPUBLICAN PARTY's future on CBS' "FACE THE NATION" and whether the party should follow LIMBAUGH's conservative positions or the more moderate views of people like COLIN POWELL, said, "If I had to choose in terms of being a Republican, I'd go with RUSH LIMBAUGH. My take on it was COLIN had already left the party. I didn't know he was still a Republican."
