Jimmy Wayne Breaks Out ... Literally, Adds CMA-Fest Appearance
May 11, 2009 at 11:49 AM (PT)
VALORY MUSIC CO. artist JIMMY WAYNE had to pull a little HOUDINI trick to get to a recent show on time. WAYNE was accidentally locked on his tour bus, while getting ready to play a show at The SWAMP in Ft. WALTON, FLA.
According to tour manager ZACK BERRY, with minutes to go before showtime, the locking mechanism on the bus door somehow jammed, and the only way out of the bus was by crawling through the back windows. A ladder was fetched, and with his band and crew looking on, WAYNE made his escape. He made it to the show on time as well.
It was just freakin' hysterical," WAYNE said of his predicament. "The band and crew were on the ground laughing, and the guys with the radio station (CUMULUS WYZB/FORT WALTON), saw the whole thing and reported it to the audience. And to top it all off, I looked and felt like a roasted pepper, having spent way too much time in the sun earlier that day. So, climbing out the window did sting a bit! But hey, the show must go on!"
The entire fiasco was taped and you can check it out by clicking here.
In other JIMMY WAYNE news, he has been added to the nightly VAULT Concert Stage at LP FIELD for a special acoustic performance during CMA MUSIC FEST. He will also perform a full band show during the festival.
