It's Official...Carrie Underwood Is A "10", Visits Africa

Carrie Makes It 10 in A Row

ARISTA RECORDS/NASHVILLE star CARRIE UNDERWOOD has had a string of major hits, 10 to be exact. And she just became the first Country artist in history to acheive 10 #1 singles from her first two albums. Her most recent to go to #1 this week is the update of the RANDY TRAVIS classic, "I Told You So." It's her fifth from the album 'Carnival Ride," including: “Just a Dream” and three hits she co-wrote: “So Small,” “All-American Girl,” and “Last Name.”

The 'AMERICAN IDOL' winner's chart-run began in 2005 with “Inside Your Heaven,” off her debut 'Some Hearts," album. 

In other CARRIE news, the artist made her second trip to AFRICA recently visiting orphanages and health centers near LUANDA, ANGOLA, where she participated in the area’s cause to help fight malaria. Her visit was part of American Idol’s “Idol Gives Back” charity promotion. A special video package will air on AMERICAN IDOL, TUESDAY, MAY 12th on FOX-TV at 8p (ET), to help show viewers how their donations have helped with various relief programs.
