Harris, Brooks, White Elected To Music Business Council

EMMYLOU HARRIS, KIX BROOKS (of ARISTA duo BROOKS & DUNN) and JACK WHITE (of the RACONTEURS & The WHITE STRIPES) have been selected by NASHVILLE Mayor KARL DEAN and the NASHVILLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE to be a part of the newly-formed MUSIC BUSINESS COUNCIL.
The 46-member council is expected to advise the mayor on initiatives, including the construction of a downtown amphitheatre, the expansion of the CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL, the creation of a new, non-Country festival and the enhancement of music education. MARY ANN McCREADY of FLOOR, BUMSTEAD, McCREADY & McCARTHY chairs the council, and professor/producer TIM DuBOIS serves as facilitator.
