Paterson Pirate Raided By Feds

Another pirate station gets busted, this time in PATERSON, NJ, where U.S. marshals and FCC investigators raided two locations on MAY 11th. The BERGEN RECORD reports that agents seized equipment that was allegedly being used to operate a pirate station playing Salsa on 90.5 FM, shutting down JAIRO DIAZ and FRANK RODRIGUEZ' operation.
The two men face $10,000 fines for running the station, which interfered with FORDHAM UNIVERSITY noncommercial AAA WFUV/NEW YORK.
