Marketing Matt & Ramona For 'Peanuts'

GREATER MEDIA/CHARLOTTE’s Syndication division has created a new marketing campaign for its MATT & RAMONA afternoon show. The company is marketing the live show feed and new ftp download versions as "Programming for Peanuts."
The main course of the campaign is a video entitled "The Interview," where a station "bigwig" interviews hosts MATT HARRIS and RAMONA HOLLOWAY, which also features humorous cutaways, actual listener calls, a nod to co-host RAMONA HOLLOWAY’s recent GRACIE ALLEN Award win and a surprise ending from co-host MATT HARRIS’ wardrobe choice.
The nationwide direct mail portion of the campaign, shipped out to PDs, contained a package of peanuts and a card directing them to the online video. When clicked to rotating online ads featuring the phrases "We Want the Job," "Fresh Roasted Funny" and "The Interview," the ads hot-linked directly to the online video.
