PATAPHYSICAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION, INC. is selling noncommercial KBDH/SAN ARDO, CA to KCBX, INC. for $250,000. The station has been operated as a satellite of sister NPR affiliate News-Talk-Jazz-Classical KUSP/SANTA CRUZ with no local programming. The buyer operates noncommercial NPR affiliate News-Talk-Jazz-Classical KCBX/SAN LUIS OBISPO and KSBX/SANTA BARBARA, plus five FM translators along CALIFORNIA's CENTRAL COAST.
In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, local pastor RICARDO GARCIA has won the Bankruptcy Court auction for KQLO-A/SUN VALLEY, NV. The deal for the station, formerly owned by UNIVERSAL BROADCASTING and in receivership, will cost GARCIA $10,000 down, $35,000 at closing, and a $20,000 promissory note payable over 20 months, plus a time brokerage agreement.
