Don Dillard Dead At 75

Condolences to the family and friends of DON DILLARD, the first disc jockey to play Rock n' Roll in the WASHINGTON D.C. area on WDON, who died from a heart attack this morning. DILLARD, who went on to own WDON, was 75.
The station was named after him by his father. It was a 250 watt AM daytimer licensed to WHEATON, MD. He was on live in morning and afternoon drive and all day SATURDAY and ruled the airwaves from 1955 to 1965. He is survived by his wife MARTHA.
