WBCE, INC. has been fined $7,000 by the FCC for failure to timely file a license renewal application and for unauthorized operation at Religion daytimer WBCE-A/WICKLIFFE, KY. WBCE, INC. lost control of the station before the application was due, after the BEAL BANK foreclosed on the company's SBA loan. The station was subsequently auctioned off to DAVID COURTNEY. The FCC rejected WBCE, INC.'s appeal based on inability to pay, saying that the company had not submitted adequate information to support its request.
The commission also rejected BUCKLEY BROADCASTING OF CALIFORNIA's petition to deny the grant of a new FM at CARMEL VALLEY, CA to AURORA COMMUNICATIONS and the assignment of that permit to LAZER LICENSES, LLC. BUCKLEY had claimed that the proposed facility would not serve the community of license with an adequate signal.
