FCC Makes More Staff Changes

Another staff shakeup at the FCC has Media Bureau Chief MONICA SHAH DESAI exiting that post to become Special Advisor to the General Counsel, with Deputy Chief, Enforcement Bureau ROBERT RATCLIFFE named Acting Media Bureau Chief to replace her for now. Deputy General Counsel MARY BETH RICHARDS is taking the position of Acting Managing Director.
In addition, BLAIR LEVIN has returned to the commission to work on its national broadband plan, and Inspector General KENT NILSSON is retiring after 30 years at the Commission, with Assistant Inspector General-Investigations DAVID HUNT taking NILSSON's place on an interim basis.
