WPOZ, Nathaniel's Hope Partner For 'Make 'Em Smile'

CENTRAL FLORIDA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION Christian AC WPOZ (Z88.3)/ORLANDO worked alongside NATHANIEL’S HOPE on last SATURDAY, JUNE 4th for the 7TH ANNUAL MAKE ‘EM SMILE event. The event brings together the community and families with kids who have special needs (VIPs). Nearly 5,000 people were registered for event this year, doubling last year’s attendance.
The day featured a “BUDDY STROLL” around downtown ORLANDO’s LAKE EOLA. On the stroll, VIP kids and their families team up with BUDDY FAMILIES. Throughout their walk around the lake, the families enjoyed petting zoos, face painters, entertainers, balloon artists, area theme park characters, puppet shows and more. The entire event was free for participants, including all food, activities and giveaways.
WPOZ staff set up a coloring booth for VIP kids and their buddies to create art together. ELLIS FEASTER and TYLER McKENZIE of the “Z88.3 MORNING SHOW” hosted on stage performances by VSR MUSIC GROUP artist CHRIS AND CONRAD and REUNION RECORDS artist JOHN WALLER.
“Every year we look forward to this day. This event builds community, serves those in need and, thanks to our many sponsors, is presented it at NO cost whatsoever to any of our participants,” said morning host McKENZIE.
