CHRIS BROWN's lawyer has requested a delay in the R&B singer's assault case to gain access to police records. A decision has yet to be taken about putting off the preliminary hearing at CALIFORNIA's Supreme Court, which is due to take place on JUNE 22nd.
MARK GERAGOS's attempt to delay proceedings last week was rejected by the appeals court. GERAGOS has requested access to police personnel and investigative records, prompting the delay request.
BROWN has pleaded not guilty to assaulting and threatening his singer girlfriend RIHANNA in FEBRUARY.
