COLORADO PUBLIC RADIO is cutting salaries 3% across the board, effective JULY 1st, following what CPR President MAX WYCISK called "the sharpest drop in 53 years" in charitable contributions. The operation will also institute a 12-month wage freeze and will continue its suspension of contributions to employee's 403(b) retirement plans.
The station hit its $1.6 million goal in its recent fundraising drive, putting the company in the black for the most recent fiscal year.
