Stations Sell Drive Time Hour To Pizza Hut

PIZZA HUT is making an unusual roadblock buy of an entire hour this evening on stations across the country to promote its "Cheesy Bites" pizza.
"The PIZZA HUT Free and Cheesy Music Hour" is airing on 114 stations in the top 50 markets in a buy arranged by ad agency TRACY LOCKE and CLEAR CHANNEL KATZ ADVANTAGE; the "show" will include the client buying out all spots in the hour and, potentially more troublesome and credibility-stretching, all jock patter, which will revolve around the Cheesy Bites pizza and pizza trivia, although CLEAR CHANNEL KATZ ADVANTAGE Pres. BONNIE PRESS told the DALLAS MORNING NEWS that "it's not that all you'll hear is PIZZA HUT, PIZZA HUT, PIZZA HUT CHEESY BITES." An offer for a free sample slice and a national contest will also be included.
