SMOKIN' BLUZ, a weekly 3-hour guitar-driven Blues show that’s been on the air for the past 12 years on CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rocker WRFX/CHARLOTTE will now be represented by RADIO AFFILIATE SERVICES & SYNDICATION. Said RASS Pres. SCOTT GILREATH, "I thank MIKE DONOVAN for introducing me to the show’s creator and host, RICK BALLEW. RICK, a 30 year radio veteran, launched the show in CHARLOTTE on CHRISTMAS Night, 1997, and its immediate success earned it a permanent slot SUNDAY night 7-10p. The quality of the show, its consistent ratings success and most of all, RICK’s passion to the product made my decision to launch it nationally an easy one. The growing popularity for the Blues with the 18-34 market plus the loyal support of the 35-54 market makes this both a ratings and revenue winner."
SMOKIN BLUZ is ideal for both Classic Rock and Classic Hit stations, featuring the best of the blues from legends such as MUDDY WATERS, JOHN LEE HOOKER and HOWLIN WOLF to BUDDY GUY, ERIC CLAPTON, STEVIE RAY VAUGHN and new artists. The show also offers on-air interviews with both the legends as well as up & coming new artists.
